Artist
Gold Mynd
Gold Mynd is a Jamaican reggae artiste by way of British Columbia in Canada. Gold Mynd is grounded and always had a passion for music. At the tender age of seven (7) he was already performing at penny concerts in his third-grade classroom. This trend continued while attending high school, Jamaica College; he was known to be found in various classrooms performing while one of his friends would be drumming on the desk. After completing high school, he registered a music label “Mynd Creation Ltd” and built a recording studio in his home. He brought in some of the best audio engineers and vocalist to complete his first mix tape, “My Life” which contains 19 songs, including stand-out hits like “Married to Success”, “Soundtrack”, “My Life” and “Letter to Mummy”.
In 2017 he migrated to Canada. In 2019 he released a sentimental single called “No Title No Label”; basically, a personal message saying: don’t give anyone labels, or titles – judge people based on their actions and intent. In 2020, he then released an EP of eight songs called “The Mimosa Mixtape Volume 1”. This body of work had more of a Hip-Hop vibes as it was created with “Hip-Hop beats mix with Yardman Style”. Gold Mynd is currently working on the Reggae Album of the Year. In spring of 2021 he released BLAZE the first “hit” off said forthcoming GOLD MYND REGGAE ALBUM produced by Launch Code Productions and Gold Mynd Music. The track features the music of Dj Kemo (Vanguards Music). All vocals were recorded at Paranoyd Sound Music Studios.
Artist
T>G
T>G began noticeably singing by age 12. It was at this very young age that T>G discovered his voice, vocal power and ability to rap. During his childhood, there was always music being played or sang each day in his household. T>G then went on to fine tune his skills and has developed his own very unique and signature sound. Growing up in the very spirited but sometimes violent streets of Spanish Town in Jamaica was not easy but this helped to create the spark required to fuel his musical fire. That fire now burns bright and provides the light that guides his musical journey. T>G has drawn influence from many other prolific artists. Bob Marley, Busta Rhymes, Bounty Killer, Sizzla, Capleton, Mavado, Gold Mynd, Kirk Diamond and Maxi Priest are just names of a few. Kelowna, British Columbia, Canada is currently where T>G calls home. His vision and goal is that his music will soon touch every corner of the world. The songs of love, dedication and determination he writes are meant to give a vibe, motivate and inspire other upcoming artists in the same way others have done for him.
Band
Scarred Soul Empire
The band members originated from all across the country having seemingly been magically led to meet in The Okanagan in British Columbia. Mark and Adam met and formed a band with a singer-songwriter in Kelowna in 2019 and having lost a bass player were on the search for another. The singer from that band (let's call him “J”) had been roommates and played in another band with Grant in 2003. After having moved from Quebec and losing touch for several years, J and Grant serendipitously bumped into one another in a checkout line in Kelowna. Grant joined the band and we started writing music. That band fell apart after J decided he wanted to pursue other paths. Mark, Adam and Grant felt like they all clicked on a musical and personal level and wanted to continue so they formed Scarred Soul Empire. Enter Blaine: Adam and Blaine grew up in the same town in Ontario, however, never met. The two met by chance in Kelowna at a job. Adam asked Blaine to audition for the band, and after the first rehearsal, we knew we had found the missing piece.
