The band members originated from all across the country having seemingly been magically led to meet in The Okanagan in British Columbia. Mark and Adam met and formed a band with a singer-songwriter in Kelowna in 2019 and having lost a bass player were on the search for another. The singer from that band (let's call him “J”) had been roommates and played in another band with Grant in 2003. After having moved from Quebec and losing touch for several years, J and Grant serendipitously bumped into one another in a checkout line in Kelowna. Grant joined the band and we started writing music. That band fell apart after J decided he wanted to pursue other paths. Mark, Adam and Grant felt like they all clicked on a musical and personal level and wanted to continue so they formed Scarred Soul Empire. Enter Blaine: Adam and Blaine grew up in the same town in Ontario, however, never met. The two met by chance in Kelowna at a job. Adam asked Blaine to audition for the band, and after the first rehearsal, we knew we had found the missing piece.

T>G discovered his musical talent at age 12, singing for his baby sister Robin under a coconut tree in their backyard in Spanish Town, Jamaica. Music became his passion and lifeline in a challenging environment. Influenced by Bob Marley, Busta Rhymes, and Sizzla Kalonji, T>G blends reggae, hip-hop, and dancehall into his unique sound, captivating global audiences.

Jonathan tells powerful stories of faith, love, and family, using his evocative voice and intimate lyricism to build meaningful connections with his listeners. Not confined to a single genre, he combines elements of pop, rock, and folk to create his emotionally stirring sound. He is an artist of rare candour and authenticity, one who puts his entire heart into every song he writes. Jonathan was born in Canada. He started his life as a musician being taught the songs of Gordon Lightfoot by his mother, on a guitar purchased by his father. As he grew up, his tastes began to expand dramatically. Discovering Joe Satriani was a seminal event in Jonathan’s life, and he quickly became obsessed with the guitar. He became a mainstay on the Victoria rock scene, both as a solo artist and a founding member of iRiS, opening for big name acts and establishing himself as a dynamic performer. Eventually, Jonathan’s dream led him to Vancouver. That dream, however, would have to be deferred, as he fell in love, started a family, and began a new career as a police officer. For twelve years, Jonathan devoted himself to his work and his children, allowing music to become a thing of the past. However, when his life fell apart a few years later, music was there to save him. In 2017, Jonathan’s marriage collapsed. He was suffering from severe depression and found himself unable to continue working. With nowhere else to turn to, Jonathan surrendered himself to God. He spent countless hours in prayer, finding hope in the teachings of the Bible. As his broken heart began to heal, Jonathan felt newly inspired, and with guidance from above, he decided to return to his first love – music.

Sheena draws inspiration from diverse musical icons, infusing her unique artistry with their influence. Beyond music, she finds creativity in connections with friends, family, and diverse individuals, fueling her passion for crafting meaningful narratives through music. Her journey reflects resilience, determination, and refusal to be defeated, transitioning from modeling to pursuing music despite setbacks.
